About Me

Hello fellow foodies. I’m Chef Yoji! Welcome to “Can I Still Eat This?” – a safe space where you can ask all your burning questions about eating expired food, and get answers faster than you can run to the bathroom!

My passion for food started when I was just a little kid, and my grandma taught me how to make pickles and jams. But it wasn’t until I started watching the Doomsday Preppers show that I realized I could take my love of food and turn it into a survival skill. Now, I’m all about doomsday food prepping, food preservation, backyard farming, non-apocalyptic meal prepping, sustainable eating, and reducing food waste!

I believe that the key to survival is having a well-stocked pantry. That’s why I’m always on the lookout for new and exciting ways to preserve food. Whether it’s canning, pickling, dehydrating, or freezing, I’ve got it covered. I even know how to make my own cheese and butter, just in case the world goes sideways.

Of course, it’s not just about stockpiling food. You’ve got to know how to grow and cook your own food too! That’s where my love for homesteading and sustainable food comes in. I grow my own veggies, raise my own chickens, and even catch my own fish.

But it’s not all fun and games in the world of survival food. Food safety is crucial, and I take it seriously. I (and my stomach, too!) know all about foodborne illnesses and how to prevent them. I’m also a stickler for proper storage and labeling.

So, whether you’re a doomsday prepper or just someone who loves good food, I’m here to help. Let’s cook up some delicious meals and make sure we’re ready to survive a Zombie Apocalypse!
